Der 1,85 m große Cousy gilt neben Oscar Robertson und Magic Johnson als einer der besten Point Guards aller Zeiten. Sein Spitzname war Houdini of the Hardwood.

He is often referred to as "The Cooz," or "Houdini of the Hardwood."
