It consists of an amplifier element with amplification A, with its output V_o fed back into its input V_i through a feedback network with transfer function β(jω). The loop gain is equal to: $G={\frac {v_{o}}{v_{i}}}={\frac {v_{f}}{v_{i}}}{\frac {v_{o}}{v_{f}}}=\beta A(j\omega )\,$
