Français : Saint-Amand-les-Eaux (Nord).
Salle des fêtes et théâtre. La salle des fêtes est construite à l'emplacement du choeur de l'ancienne abbaye détruite en grande partie lors de la Révolution française. La construction de la salle des fêtes est confiée à l'architecte Gustave Dupont et son fils Eugène, tous deux architectes des communes et des établissements publics du département du Nord. Le PV d'adjudication des travaux date de 1903 et la réception définitive des travaux a lieu en 1906. Les travaux de ciment et béton sont confiés à l'entrepreneur Leroy-Croix de Gommegnies, assisté d'un ingénieur de la maison Hennebique. Le décor de sculpture de la façade est réalisée par Alexandre Fournier, sculpteur à Valenciennes. Le décor de la scène est confiée à Piata, chef machiniste des théâtres de Lille. Festival hall and theater. The village hall is built on the site of the choir of the old abbey largely destroyed during the French Revolution. The construction of the village hall was entrusted to the architect Gustave Dupont and his son Eugène, both architects of the municipalities and public establishments of the Nord department. The contract award report dates from 1903 and the final acceptance of the works takes place in 1906. The cement and concrete work is entrusted to the contractor Leroy-Croix de Gommegnies, assisted by an engineer from the Hennebique house. The sculpture decoration of the facade is carried out by Alexandre Fournier, sculptor in Valenciennes. The stage decoration is entrusted to Piata, chief stagehand of the Lille theaters. The theater has undergone a renovation which is part of the project to develop the abbey garden and the construction of a new media library, attached to the theater. |
