10岁时，艾利森出现在皇家歌剧院的《雾都孤儿》演出中[1]。离开学校后，她在科尔切斯特学院学习了两年的音乐剧[2]，随后在埃塞克斯郡劳顿的东15表演学院学习四年的课程，毕业时获得表演艺术学士学位[2]。
