马克林

马克林，又名柯林·麦克拉斯（Colin Mackerras，1939年—），生于雪梨，是位澳大利亚汉学家。马克林在汉学的专长是中国传统文化，尤其是戏剧、中国少数民族研究、澳大利亚与中国关系和西方对中国的印象。

柯林·麦克拉斯生于一个天主教家庭；毕业于英国剑桥大学；1964年，首度造访中国，留于北京外国语学校教学直至1966年。麦克拉斯于北京教学时，长子出世，同时他在北京市也亲历了文化大革命的初期。

1970年，他获颁澳洲国立大学的博士学位，研究题目是远东历史。自1975年起，麦克拉斯于昆士兰州布里斯本参与、创立了格里菲斯大学的亚洲研究学系，并持续教学、著书、游历、讲学于各国等，最后受格里菲斯大学敦聘为荣誉教授。著名的指挥家－查尔斯·麦克拉斯是他的兄弟。
