咖啡果小蠹（学名：Hypothenemus hampei）是一种小型甲虫，全长不超过2毫米，属于象鼻虫科小蠹亚科[1]。本种广泛分布于全球热带地区，整个生命周期里都以咖啡属植物的果实为食，因此其分布区域与咖啡的生长地区有很高的重叠性[2]。正模标本是在1867年采集自一批由不明产地被运往法国的咖啡豆中，所以没有真正的模式产地[3]，加上当时国际咖啡贸易已相当兴盛，有助于本种在各大陆之间传播，导致学界对于咖啡果小蠹在哪些地区是原生种，而在哪些地区则是外来种的问题一直有争议。不过鉴于本种早在19世纪的非洲就已有多笔采集纪录，迄今的所有推测都认为，非洲最有可能是本种的原生地之一[4]。
