《海底兩萬里》（20,000 Leagues Under the Sea）是一部1916年的美國無聲電影，斯圖爾特·佩頓執導，取材於儒勒·凡爾納1870年的同名小說，也融入了凡爾納1875年小說《神秘島》中的元素[1]。2016年，這部電影被美國國會圖書館選入國家影片登記表[2]。
製作[編輯]
這是第一部在水下拍攝的電影[3]。水下場景由威廉姆森潛艇電影公司（Williamson Submarine Film Corporation）在巴哈馬拍攝[4]。拍攝沒有使用真正的水下攝像機，影像是通過伸入水下的管道和鏡子反射拍攝到的[5]。
該片歷時兩年製作，耗資50萬美元[4]。哈爾·埃里克森 （Hal Erickson）表示，「這部電影的成本是如此之高，以至於不可能盈利，導致接下來12年沒拍任何凡爾納的作品」。[1]
