核心被子植物（學名：Mesangiospermae）又名中生被子植物，是被子植物最主要的演化支，將近百分之百的開花植物屬於此類別，包括了單子葉植物、真雙子葉植物和木蘭類植物這三大分支，還有金粟蘭目和金魚藻目這兩個小分支。「Mesangiospermae」這個名稱來自對「core angiosperms」的翻譯[1]，「mes-」意為中部、中心。
