麻鳽屬（學名：Botaurus，中國大陸作麻𫛚屬，台灣作大麻鷺屬）是鵜形目鷺科的涉禽，其下有四個現生物種及一個化石物種。[2][3]
命名歷史[編輯]
本屬由英國博物學家詹姆斯·法蘭西斯·斯提芬斯於1819年描述。[4]其模式種由英國動物學家喬治·羅伯特·格雷於1840年指定為Ardea stellaris，即大麻鳽。[1]其屬名Botaurus來自中世紀拉丁語的butaiirus或bootaurus，指的就是「麻鳽」（即麻鳽亞科）。[5]
