歐文·約翰遜
歐文·麥克盧爾·約翰遜（Irving McClure Johnson，1905年7月4日—1991年1月2日）是一位美國作家、演講家、冒險家和航海培訓先驅。

約翰遜從小進行海上生活的訓練，在家裏的庭院裏爬杆，讀摔跤手的故事和傑克·倫敦和約瑟夫·康拉德的小說。約翰遜長大後成為了專業水手，在夏天作為各種遊艇的船員和船長，其中包括西聯匯款的主席紐科姆·卡爾頓（Newcomb Carlton）的「夏米安」。1929年，他駕駛「北京」繞過了好望角。
在擔任「Wanderbird」的助手的時候，約翰遜認識了他未來的妻子。1932年，他與伊萊克特· 「艾克斯」·約翰遜（Electa "Exy" Johnson）結婚。1934年到1958年期間約翰遜夫婦7次環繞世界，他們一共駕駛過三艘船，船名均為「楊基」（Yankee）。每一次他們都帶上一個新船員，耗時約18個月。第一艘是北海領航船，為縱帆船，環繞世界三次後在二戰前1941年被賣出。第二艘於1946年買入，是一艘德國的北海領航船，為雙桅帆船。最後一艘「楊基」是唯一的專為約翰遜夫婦建造的船隻，為鋼鐵架構，適合歐洲內河河道航行，由歐文·約翰遜和奧林·斯蒂芬斯（Olin Stephens）設計。[1]
在他們的航海生涯中，約翰遜夫婦的很多文章、書籍、國家地理和其他節目製作的視頻記錄了他們的旅程。帶着一位業餘的船員，他們旅行了幾十萬英里，穿過巴拿馬運河到達南太平洋的島嶼、東南亞的港口、繞過好望角，回到格洛斯特，在長達18個月裏沒有發生任何事故。這種旅行他們進行了不止一次，而是七次。
洛杉磯海事研究所（Los Angeles Maritime Institute）上桅帆青年項目（TopSail Youth program）的兩艘姊妹旗艦船以他們的名字命名為「歐文·約翰遜」和「艾克斯·約翰遜」。2000年2月17日，雙桅帆船項目就在加利福尼亞聖佩德羅核心地區，LAMI停車場啟動。2002年4月27日下水，2003年3月28日交付。[2]2005年3月21日，「歐文·約翰遜」在美國加利福尼亞州奧克斯納德海峽群島港入口附近擱淺。所有船員和乘客被都安全獲救，船隻在海灘上擱淺數日。[3]由於損害嚴重並進水，船隻進行了大修並與2006年初恢復服務。
