螃蟹蘸醬（英語：Crab dip）又名馬里蘭螃蟹蘸醬，[5][6]是一種黏稠狀奶油蘸醬，主製材一般為奶油奶酪和塊狀蟹肉，其中奶油奶酪可用蛋黃醬代替。[3]製作螃蟹蘸醬時，螃蟹的種類、蟹肉的選取等均無嚴格的要求。螃蟹蘸醬既可作熱食也可作冷食，但人們一般趁熱食用。[2][7]如趁熱食用，一般會將其烤熟或煮熟。有時螃蟹蘸醬還會被製成前菜。[1][8]此外還可往蘸醬中加入餅乾和麵包等配菜。

魚肉、冰凍蟹肉和罐裝蟹肉都可用於螃蟹蘸醬的製備中。[3][2][9]製備時，塊狀蟹肉[7][1]、普通蟹肉[3]、大腿肉[4]和螯肉等蟹肉均可採用。螃蟹的種類也沒有嚴格的要求，藍蟹、[6][10]首長黃道蟹[8]和阿拉斯加的帝王蟹[4]等蟹種均可使用。

準備和供餐[編輯]

一些美國餐館會向顧客提供螃蟹蘸醬食用，[20]商業公司也在大量生產螃蟹蘸醬。[21]螃蟹蘸醬製備好後可先冷藏，要食用時加熱即可。[4]人們可以將螃蟹蘸醬放置在被挖空的麵包中，如酵母麵包。[14]餅乾、大餅、皮塔餅、麵包、油煎麵包塊（英語：crostino）、椒鹽脆餅和切片蔬菜等食品都可用作螃蟹蘸醬的配菜。[5][1][4]

體育場的供應情況[編輯]

位於華盛頓哥倫比亞特區的國民公園球場是棒球隊華盛頓國民的主場，[22]這家體育場提供的三明治便是由半熏腸（英語：half-smoke）[a]、DMV[b]和螃蟹蘸醬製成的。[23]據報道，2014年8月，位於馬里蘭大學學院市分校內的伯德體育場（英語：Byrd Stadium）也將準備開始提供一種1.5斤的椒鹽卷餅。這種椒鹽卷餅由螃蟹蘸醬和融式奶酪製成，可供4人食用。[24]
