南十字座ζ是在南十字座南部的一颗联星。它可以用肉眼直接看见，视星等为4.06m，距离太阳大约360光年。它是天蝎-半人马星协的子集团，下天蝎-半人马座星协的成员[10]。

这是一颗双谱的光谱联星[11]。光谱与B型主序星匹配，恒星分类属于B2.5V。它有一颗微弱的视觉伴星，视星等12.49[12]。
