2006-08-07T07:10:22，水水把通識教育移動到博雅教育，並另立「通識教育」條目，他聲稱：「博雅教育（Liberal Art）和通識教育（General Education）是兩回事！！！」我懷疑他這種說法是否正確，英文維基百科並沒有「general education」這一個詞條，我也看不出有證據表明存在什麼區別。請提供證據說明這兩個概念確實是兩回事。否則，應該合併兩條目。--鳥甲 08:55 2006年9月24日 (UTC)
英文版本內的 "Liberal education" (通識教育) 指出了，通識教育不應與博雅教育相提並論，因為他倆之間有細微的差別。 "The term liberal education in the modern sense should not be confused with liberal arts education; the latter deals with academic subjects, while the former deals with ideological subjects. Indeed, a liberal arts education does not necessarily include a liberal education, and a liberal arts program may even be as specialized as a vocational program." 英文版的中古時代的四藝中不包括地理[編輯]
英文版的 'Liberal Arts' 中 提到 「while arithmetic, geometry, the theory of music, and astronomy also played a (somewhat lesser) part in education」，應該是算術，幾何，音樂和天文吧。Zhangzhaohui（留言） 2014年7月13日 (日) 15:15 (UTC)
