詹姆斯·希爾曼

詹姆斯·希爾曼（James Hillman，1926年4月12日—2011年10月27日），是一位美國榮格學派心理學家，原型心理學的創始者。

生平

出生於美國亞特蘭大。第二次世界大戰後先進入巴黎索邦大學取得英文文學研究學位，在此就學期間，深受法國伊斯蘭學者考賓（Henry Corbin）、詩學哲學家巴修拉（Gaston Bachelard）和現象學學家莫里斯·梅洛-龐蒂的影響；再於都柏林的三一學院取得關於心智與道德科學的學位。

1953 年接受了梅爾（C. A. Meier）的分析，也同時加入了蘇黎世榮格學院心的分析師訓練學程。1959年從蘇黎士大學博士畢業、也在榮格學院獲得分析師資格，同時開始擔任蘇黎世榮格學院教學部主任直到1969年；希爾曼的博士論文《情感：理論及其治療意義的綜合現象學》(Emotions: A Comprehensive Phenomenology of Theories and The Meaning for Therapy)在他畢業後隨即出版，在當時的出版界是罕見之事。在這十年間，經歷了1961年榮格去世。

1967年受邀至艾拉諾斯(Eranos)論壇演講，探討關於「年老和年輕」（senex vs puer）原型對偶的主題。

1970年掌管春泉出版社(Spring Publications)的編輯及發行。
