Yellow Submarine(黃色潛水艇)是英國樂團 The Beatles 於1966年發行的的歌曲，由 Paul 創作及由 Ringo 主唱。它被收錄在 Revolver 中和以單曲發行。
此曲受到樂迷歡迎，單曲維持於英國排行榜榜首4星期，留在榜上達13星期。它以1966年英國最暢銷的單曲以獲得艾弗·諾韋洛獎。
它在1969年再收錄於黃色潛水艇中，並成為同名電影的主打歌曲。

當Paul獲得其創作靈感時，他正住在珍妮·阿什家人的屋中。他如此描述其經歷[4]：
I was laying in bed in the Ashers' garret... I was thinking of it as a song for Ringo, which it eventually turned out to be, so I wrote it as not too rangey in the vocal, then started making a story, sort of an ancient mariner, telling the young kids where he'd lived. It was pretty much my song as I recall... I think John helped out. The lyrics got more and more obscure as it goes on, but the chorus, melody and verses are mine.

It's a happy place, that's all. You know, it was just... We were trying to write a children's song. That was the basic idea. And there's nothing more to be read into it than there is in the lyrics of any children's song.[4][7]

Yellow Submarine 由喬治·馬丁監製，1966年5月26日於艾比路錄音室2號房錄音，前後共錄了五次，6月1日加上特別效果[6]。歌曲中的滑稽音效都是由喬治·馬丁加上，以營造航海的氣氛[8]，如鐵鏈、海浪、風聲、水聲。此外John在水中吹氣造出氣泡的聲音，他與 Paul 在鐵罐中對話扮演船長與船員溝通，Ringo 在錄音室外大喊 Cut the cable! Drop the cable! 等等[6]。
在歌詞 and the band begins to play (然後樂隊開始演奏)後，加插了一小段配樂。此配樂為一段經加工的銅管樂，但有人相信這是1906年的 Le Reve Passe[6]。此外，原本 Ringo 在歌曲開首作簡短介紹，但於6月3日被剪掉[6]。

Yellow Submarine 是 The Beatles 在英國發行的第13張單曲，於8月5日與 Eleanor Rigby 以雙A面出售，在美國則於8月8日出售。一日後 Revolver 發行[9]。
在美國的反應[编辑]
此單曲在四星期內賣了1,200,000張，並獲得The Beatles第21項金唱片獎。
它在告示牌百強單曲榜中排第二、Record World 雜誌排第一、Cashbox 雜誌排第二[6]。或許它得不到第一是因為＂屠夫封面＂（Yesterday and Today 專輯的封面）的爭議[6]和 John＂比耶穌更受歡迎＂的言論[10]。

塑像[编辑]
來自卡梅爾·萊爾德造船廠的學徒造了一個51尺(16米)長的黃色潛水艇金屬雕像，慶祝1984年的國際園藝博覽會。2005年它被安放於利物浦約翰·列儂機場，直至現在。
翻唱[编辑]
1966年芬蘭的 Simo & Spede 翻唱為「黃色破冰船」﹝芬蘭語：Keltainen Jäänsärkijä﹞。
瑞典歌手 Per Myrberg 在1966年10月以「黃色、黃色、黃色是我們的潛水艇」﹝瑞典語：Gul gul gul är vår undervattensbåt﹞翻唱，搖滾樂隊 Hjalle & Heavy 在1998年以「黃色潛水艇」﹝瑞典語：Gul ubåt﹞翻唱。他們將歌詞直譯作瑞典語，而不轉變其旋律。
1966年，法國的莫里斯·舍瓦利耶以「綠色潛水艇」﹝法語：Le Sous-Marin Vert﹞翻唱[12][13]。
Mrs. Miller 和 Black Dyke Mills Band 在1966和1968年也有翻唱。2002年 Roots Manuva 在 Badmeaningood 2 專輯中以說唱形式翻唱[14]。Raffi 在他的專輯 Let's Play 中亦唱了這歌，以及皇家愛樂樂團以管弦樂形式將其重現[15]。
兒童節目中也用到這首歌，如 Fun Song Factory 和芝麻街。
