吕理燊（1932年2月25日—2011年10月11日）英文名Leu, Lii-Sin，国际知名植物病理学者。出生于台湾宜兰县罗东镇，逝世于台中。1954年毕业于台湾省立农学院（今国立中兴大学）植物病虫害学系；1957年毕业于国立台湾大学植物病理学研究所，获硕士学位；1967年毕业于美国威斯康辛大学植物病理学系研究所，获博士学位。曾任台湾糖业研究所副技术师及研究员，1974年转任台湾植物保护中心（今行政院农业委员会农业药物毒物试验所）农药应用系系主任。此外亦曾担任国际糖业技术学会之甘蔗病害组组长，植物病理学会、植物保护学会理监事，杂草学会及真菌学会理事长。

学术成就[编辑]

长期以来致力于甘蔗病害、台湾重要花卉病害，热带及温带果树病害之研究与防治，另亦执行国际甘蔗抗病测定合作，真菌防治草蝉等甘蔗害虫之研究，有关甘蔗病害论文，就超过六十篇之多。花卉病害研究方面，菊花育苗推出植保素一号解决苗枯病之问题，促成菊花育苗专业化，并阐明菊花白色锈病病菌在台湾越夏之问题；此外亦解决唐菖蒲赤斑病及灰霉病用药问题，并进行土壤蒸气消毒解决百合黄化问题等之研究。果树方面，究明蕃石榴立枯病之绝对伤口寄生，系统性分布及病菌无法在土壤中生存；葡萄方面，费时十年功夫，建立防治历；草莓方面则推行育苗期防治白粉病及炭疽病；梨子方面亦从事综合防治历之建立，并首次发现世界新病害梨叶缘焦枯病，且协助政府解决东势、和平两乡镇交界处13K之病变问题。亦从事檬果(芒果)外销供果之问题，找出早期测定炭疽病及蒂腐病，田间则推出早期蔬果套袋等工作，隔绝病虫害并减少农药成本，颇有成效。

吕氏之研究成果，发表于国内外重要学术杂志，数量达一百四十余篇，均收录于1997年底出版的两册《吕理燊博士论文集》中。除了进行研究，吕氏亦首创作物病虫害诊断工作，随时随地替农民解决问题，足迹几遍全台，并替政府贡献良策。1997年退休后，继续担任农友种苗公司与台湾花卉生物技术公司等处顾问。曾受云林县政府之邀，担任台日莴苣产销谈判的翻译，协助台湾蔬菜顺利输往日本。2011年再出版《吕理燊博士著作专辑》光碟片。光碟片中收录《吕理燊博士论文集》著作分类表，及《农业世界杂志》，〈作物病害防治之思维与实际〉的14篇论文全文。
