《辗转难眠》是一首说唱摇滚（英语：rap rock）歌曲，以A小调创作，乐团在歌曲中的音域介于E4与A5之间。[8]

歌曲的歌词主要谈论了对童年的怀念、成年时期的压力[9]和家庭关系的处理。[10][11]导歌歌词“我是‘模糊脸庞’，我在意你的想法”中的“模糊脸庞”是呼应专辑标题的一个虚拟人物。[12][13]
