垃圾箱類群
垃圾箱類群[1]（wastebin/dustbin taxon）[2][3]又稱廢紙簍類元（wastebasket taxon）[4][5]、籠統分類單元（catch-all taxon）[6]，在生物分類學上指的是包含了大量地位未定物種的類群，這些物種常常缺乏相似性，只因為不知道該如何分類而被放進了這種類群。根據定義，垃圾箱類群是並系群或多系群，因而在分支分類學上是不成立的。但是有可能會被保留為演化級的非正式名稱。
並系群或多系群的例子很多，但它們大多數不是真正的「垃圾箱類群」，垃圾箱類群不僅在系統發育上不是自然類群，而且其往往自建立伊始就不打算代表自然的演化關係，而僅為方便而存在。[7]
這一概念由史蒂芬·古爾德在1985年提出[8][7]，但類似的說法更早就已出現；例如，德國鳥類學家恩斯特·哈特爾特在1910年描述畫眉科時半開玩笑地說："Was man nicht unterbringen kann, sieht man als Timalien an."[9]（不知道應該怎麼分類的鳥就屬於畫眉科。）
大風子科也是一個典型的垃圾箱類群，其中的物種現在大多被分類至鐘花科和楊柳科，另有兩屬單獨列為智利藤科。[10]
