Amazon Alexa，簡稱Alexa[4]，是亞馬遜公司推出的一款智能助理，最初用於Amazon Echo智能音箱。它具有語音互動、音樂播放、待辦事項列表、鬧鐘、流播播客、播放有聲讀物以及提供天氣，交通，體育和其他即時資訊（如新聞）的功能[5]。Alexa還可以將自身用作智能家庭系統來控制多個智能裝置。該產品由Amazon Lab126開發，是一名女性語音助手[6]。用戶可以通過安裝外掛程式（由第三方供應商開發的其他功能）來擴充Alexa功能。
Alexa的大多數裝置允許用戶通過一個特定的詞語（如「Alexa」或「Amazon」）來喚醒，剩下的（如IOS和Andriod上的Amazon流動應用與Amazon Dash Wand）則需用戶通過按按鈕來使之進入聆聽模式。一些其他廠商的手機也同樣支援用戶發出一些指令來喚醒熒幕，如「Alexa」或「Alexa wake」。到目前為止，Alexa的交流和應答僅可用英語、德語、法語、意大利語、西班牙語[7]、葡萄牙語、日語和印地語[8]。Alexa在加拿大可用於英語和法語（包括魁北克法語）。[9][10]。
發展歷史[編輯]
2014年11月，Alexa與亞馬遜智能音箱Echo一同發佈[11]。Alexa的命名靈感來自科幻電視連續劇和電影《星際迷航：原始系列》和《星際迷航：下一代》中星際飛船「企業」中的電腦語音和對話系統[12]。亞馬遜的開發人員使用了Alexa這一名稱，因為X這一重輔音可以使其更準確地被辨識。開發團隊說這個名字能讓人想起亞歷山大圖書館，而亞馬遜Alexa Internet也出於同樣的原因使用了這一名稱。
2015年6月，亞馬遜宣佈推出Alexa基金，該基金將投資於製造語音控制技能和技術的公司。這筆2億美元的基金投資了包括Jargon，Ecobee，Orange Chef，Scout Alarm，Garageio，Toymail，MARA和Mojio在內的公司[13][14][15]。2016年，亞馬遜推出了Alexa獎，以進一步推動該技術的發展[16]。
2017年1月，首屆Alexa會議在田納西州納什維爾舉行，這是Alexa開發人員和全球發燒友的聚會[17][18][19]。後續活動已經以新名稱Project Voice宣佈[20]。

2018年5月，亞馬遜宣佈將Alexa納入Lennar Corporation今年建造的35,000套新房屋中[21]。
2018年11月，亞馬遜在多倫多的伊頓中心內開設了第一家以Alexa主題的快閃店，展示了亞馬遜智能揚聲器在家庭自動化產品中的使用.[22]。此外，亞馬遜還在Amazon Books和Whole Foods Market商店銷售Alexa裝置。
在2019年4月，亞馬遜宣佈與Bose，Intelbras和LG合作，以葡萄牙語將將Alexa擴充到巴西[23]。

截至2018年11月[update], Alexa在41個國家可用。最新的Alexa在2019年8月3日於巴西推出[24]。

When Toni Reid and her colleagues at Amazon set out to build the device that is now known as Alexa, they were inspired by the computer that drove the Enterprise on Star Trek (voiced by Majel Barrett Roddenberry, who played Nurse Chapel on the series and was married to the show's creator). Focusing on cadence and an accent that would suggest 'smart, humble, helpful,' the team tested voices that a diverse population would respond to. 'Our goal was to have Alexa be humanlike,' Ms. Reid said, but why end there?
