Copied from the Colonial Office List (1966):-

BRAY, D. C.—b. 1926; ed. C.I.M. Sch., Chefoo, China, Kingswood Sch., Bath, and Jesus Coll., Camb.; 1947–49, R.N., instr.lieut.; cadet offr., cl. II, H.K., 1950; senr. admin. offr., 1959; admin. offr. staff. gr. C., 1963; asst. col. sec. (spec. duties), 1964; comsnr. of census and stat. planning (in addn.), 1965.

As shown in the above, Bray was first appointed a cadet officer class II in 1950, promoted to the SAO rank in 1959 and AOSGC in 1963. It is obviously incorrect for Apply Daily to suggedt that he became a "probationary" AO in 1964. Thank you. --Clithering（MMXIX） 2019年11月3日 (日) 02:33 (UTC)[回覆]
