警备队

警备队（拉丁語：Vigiles），更恰当的说法是城市警备队（Vigiles Urbani）或警备大队（Cohortes Vigilum）是古罗马城内的一支消防与警务队伍。

公元6年，罗马城发生火灾，此后奥古斯都组建了这支队伍作为常备消防队^[1]，其由被释放的奴隶自由民组成^[2]，最初包括七支大队^[2]。其职责除灭火外，此队伍亦担当着夜间守备的职责^[1]。
