阿爾杜斯·馬努提烏斯

阿爾杜斯·皮烏斯·馬努提烏斯（拉丁語：Aldus Pius Manutius，1449年—1515年2月6日）^[1] ，是阿爾多・馬努齊奧（意大利語：Aldo Manuzio，[ˈaldo maˈnuttsjo]）的拉丁化名字。生於威尼斯，人文主義學者和印刷商, 在威尼斯創立阿爾丁出版社, 出版希臘文和拉丁文的古典著作。也被稱為稱為老阿爾杜斯·馬努提烏斯（Aldus Manutius, the Elder），與其孫子小阿爾杜斯·馬努提烏斯（Aldus Manutius, the Younger）作區別。

他的主要功績包括意大利體的發明，發明了現代標點符號分號以及與當今普通平裝版圖書類似的裝幀方式。

早期生平[編輯]

馬努提烏斯出生於教皇國的巴西亞諾，即現在的意大利拉蒂納省。家庭條件較好的他在羅馬學習了拉丁文在費拉拉隨維羅納的瓜里諾學習了希臘文。 1482年他隨好友若望·皮科搬遷到Mirandola 學習了兩年的希臘文學。之後他為一些貴族子弟擔任家教。

出版傳統[編輯]

作為意大利文藝復興時代的出版和印刷先驅，阿爾杜斯·馬努提烏斯確立了書籍裝幀的基本步驟，製造了第一款意大利斜體字，創造了經典名著的「袖珍本」書籍 (稱為 octavo) 並應用了多項在書籍裝幀方面的創新技術和設計。他委託弗蘭切斯科・格里福（Francesco Griffo）可出了第一款近日所稱的意大利斜體。他與其孫子創建了標準化的標點符號系統。軟件公司 Aldus 即以他命名。
